Diagnosis and treatment of degenerative aging processes – the preventive way to fight aging-related diseases and achieve healthy longevity — at Israel’s 16th National Life Sciences & Technology Week
On May 23-25, there will take place in Tel Aviv, David Intercontinental Hotel, Israel’s 16th National Life Sciences & Technology Week that will be fully dedicated to seeking biomedical, biotechnological and information technological solutions to the challenges of aging and for extending healthy longevity. In particular, on May 25, there will take place a panel on “Longevity: Genetics and Epigenetics” that will emphasize the critical need to fight the mounting health problems of the aging world by biological interventions into their underlying degenerative aging processes. This is the truly preventative and proactive way to postpone, prevent and even reverse the derivative aging-related diseases and increase healthy longevity. The panel will include world-leading researchers on the biology of aging and longevity, from Israel and abroad, including Prof. Nir Barzilai, Prof. James Kirkland, Prof. Steven Austad, Prof. Haim Cohen and others, who will present the latest research advances on therapeutic interventions into degenerative biological aging processes in order to achieve healthy longevity. One of the presentations will be by Dr. Ilia Stambler, Chair of the Israeli Longevity Alliance and Chief Science Officer of the Vetek (Seniority) Association, who will present research on the diagnosis of degenerative aging as a treatable medical condition, utilizing information theory methods. These methods, capable of estimating non-linear and synergistic relations in complex biological systems, can provide superior diagnostic and predictive capabilities for aging-related ill health.
